Robotic Thoracic Surgery

A type of advanced, minimally invasive operation within the chest. During this procedure, the surgeon controls two hand-held joysticks and foot paddles within a Surgical Console to direct movements of micro-instruments inside the patient’s chest cavity.

Cardiac Surgery

Professor Cao performs a number of cardiac operations, including coronary artery bypass graft surgery, valve repair and replacement surgery, aortic operations, and device implantations.
